The Original Le Sorelle Restaurant is a family-owned authentic Italian restaurant serving Delray Beach and Downtown Boca Raton since 2016.
Founded by sisters Candida, Anna and Luisa, Le Sorelle brings together generations of Italian culinary tradition, warm family hospitality and a modern approach to dining.
Our restaurants celebrate traditional and contemporary Italian cuisine through fresh homemade pasta, wood-fired brick-oven pizza, fresh seafood, premium steaks and classic Italian specialties, complemented by handcrafted cocktails, a full bar and a carefully curated wine selection.
More than a place to dine, Le Sorelle is an elegant yet lively Italian experience where owners remain closely connected to their guests, fine dining meets genuine hospitality, and food, wine, live music and celebration come together in the spirit of Italy.
A FAMILY STORY ROOTED IN ITALY
The story behind Le Sorelle Restaurant begins long before its arrival in South Florida. For generations, the Mazzella family has carried forward the traditions of Italian hospitality, family cooking and restaurant life, with roots on the island of Ponza, a family journey through New York, and a restaurant tradition that continued across Italy before reaching Florida.
1898 — From Ponza to America
The family story begins in 1898, when Domenico Mazzella left the island of Ponza with his wife and children for the United States, beginning a journey that would connect the family’s Italian roots with a new life in America.
1962 — A Restaurant Tradition in New York
In 1962, the family’s restaurant tradition took shape in New York. Rosalina Mazzella "Mamma Lina", daughter of Pasqualina, met Salvatore Mazzella "Papa` Salvatore", on the island of Ponza. After marrying, they settled in New York, where their family grew and their connection to Italian food and hospitality became part of everyday life.
The family later opened Capri in the Bronx, bringing Southern Italian cuisine and traditional Italian pizza to New York.
1990 — Returning to Ponza
In 1990, the family returned to its roots with the opening of La Palma, Albergo and Restaurant on the island of Ponza, continuing a tradition of Italian hospitality in one of the places most closely connected to the family’s history.
2013 — A New Italian Chapter
The family’s restaurant experience continued in the Gaeta–Formia area with Baraonda, expanding the tradition into a contemporary restaurant, pub and steakhouse concept while preserving the importance of quality food and Italian hospitality.
2016 — The Birth of Le Sorelle in South Florida
In 2016, sisters Candida, Anna and Luisa brought generations of family tradition to Florida and created Le Sorelle Restaurant, combining authentic Italian cuisine, family hospitality and a modern dining experience in South Florida.

MEET THE SISTERS BEHIND LE SORELLE RESTAURANT
Le Sorelle Restaurant was founded by sisters Candida, Anna and Luisa Mazzella, bringing together a shared passion for authentic Italian cuisine, family tradition and the warm hospitality they grew up with.
Raised within a family deeply connected to Italian restaurant life, the three sisters transformed generations of experience into a dining concept built around quality food, personal service and the unmistakable spirit of Italian hospitality.

The name Le Sorelle, meaning “The Sisters” in Italian, reflects the heart of the restaurant itself: family, togetherness and the joy of welcoming guests as if they were part of the family.

Le Sorelle remains proudly family-owned and owner-operated. Guests can often meet Candida and Luisa at Le Sorelle Delray Beach, while Anna personally oversees the Downtown Boca Raton location, keeping the owners closely connected to the daily restaurant experience and to the guests they welcome.

Together, the sisters continue the restaurant tradition started by Papà Salvatore, bringing their own personality, energy and modern vision to The Original Le Sorelle Restaurant.
